We made it to another summer solstice. As a new variant of the virus reminds us we are still not out of the woods yet, hopefully we can take some time to slow down and remember lessons we began learning a year ago. Blessed solstice, everyone.
Last year at this time, we were preparing for a long road ahead, shutting ourselves down in order that we would survive to see another day. Those of us who did are now hoping that like the spring we are preparing to bloom again, blossoming into something better than we were before. However, it’s still important that we take it easy this spring, take our time to recover from the past year and not repeat the mistakes that led us here.
It has been one of the longest summers ever, but we made it. Now it’s time to prepare for the Earth’s movement away from the sun and take care of ourselves for an even longer cold season. Stay safe and take care, everyone. And blessed Mabon.
Hopefully this 2020 spring will bring about much needed new beginnings. Happy equinox, everyone.
The days can only get longer again from here on out. Until then celebrate and revel in the darkness.
